Myanmar/Burma has endured decades of civil war and political violence. Depite some political opening, activists continue to be put behind bars and fighting is ongoing in several ethnic areas. Women carry the burden of this violence. The women in this film have suffered human rights violations related to armed conflict and/or political violence. Karen women from internally displaced communities, Kachin women from conflict affected areas, Women former political prisoners currently living in Yangon. They want to speak out for justice.
